Castles of Portugal is an information portal about the castles of
Portugal and their architectural features and legends. This chronological information begins
with the Moorish occupation and the various Portuguese dynasties, following the construction
of new castles and the rebuilding of existing ones, in the conquering path of the Portuguese
Monarchs.
Spread across four periods Pre-12th Century, 12th Century, 13th
Century, and Post-13th Century, Castles of
Portugal shows with maps, the dispersion of castles existing in that
specific century, and it is possible to access information and photographic slides of these
same castles.
